UMMC Arena is the largest indoor sports facility in the region. Since 2025, the playground has been the home for the Avtomobilist hockey club and the UMMC women's basketball club, and will also be used for cultural events and concerts.

The facility, which meets the requirements of international sports federations, will be able to host sports competitions, including European and World championships in at least 11 sports (in addition to hockey and basketball, figure skating, curling, mini–football, gymnastics, etc.).

The capacity of the UMMC Arena exceeds 12,500 people during hockey matches, and 15,000 guests during concert programs.

In addition to the central sports ground, the UMMC Arena provides a full-size training field for hockey and a basketball hall, so that the training process can take place in parallel with performances by artists and sports matches. The transformation of the arena from one sport to another or the arrangement of a concert venue will take from 6 to 24 hours.

In addition to the sports infrastructure, the UMMC Arena has a restaurant for 164 people, 8 buffets for spectators, 44 VIP boxes for 487 guests, and a 352-seat business club..

The main building of the UMMC Arena includes the stands, the main field, and the podium rooms. A parking lot, a training field are located in the stylobate part, a cooling center, a water treatment room and auxiliary rooms are located on the underground floor.

The special pride of the UMMC Arena are engineering and technical solutions based on computer modeling using specialized software and repeated calculation of parameters such as optimal temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide content, etc. Even such small things as the movement of hockey players, which leads to air turbulence, were taken into account. Similar calculations were performed for all types of activities: for both sports and cultural events. A similar approach was implemented in acoustic modeling, which is reflected in the architecture of the building. The result of these decisions was the comfortable presence of athletes and artists in the bowl of the arena, as well as the audience, regardless of the location.

The UMMC Arena is located in the central part of Yekaterinburg at 15 Stepan Razin Street. A new comfortable public space has been created around it for the recreation of citizens: an embankment has been equipped, an additional pedestrian bridge over the Iset River along Narodnaya Volya Street has been installed, Stepan Razin Street near the facility has been reconstructed. The building itself is encircled by a copper-colored mesh metal frame, into which a media facade with an area of more than 16 thousand square meters is integrated.

There are many public transport routes near the UMMC Arena, including the Geologicheskaya metro station in the immediate vicinity of the sports facility.
