Bridge crossing over the river. Oku at the M-12 Vostok vehicle | Stroyproekt Engineering Group
The bridge over the Oka River, the only cable—stayed bridge on the M-12 Vostok highway, was built as part of the fourth stage of highway construction and connects the Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions near Murom.
The bridge over the Oka River became the first bridge with a cable-stayed system, the elements of which were developed and certified in Of Russia. During the construction of the monolithic channel support pylon, for the first time in Russian bridge construction, sliding formwork technology was used to construct cable-stayed bridge pylons. The processes of reinforcement, concreting, concrete maintenance and moving the formwork were carried out continuously: this reduced the production time from 10 to 4 months. The technical solutions adopted made it possible to reduce the material consumption of the structure compared to its analogues: the consumption of reinforced concrete is by a third.
The elements of the cable-stayed bridge crossing system have been developed and certified in Of Russia. Taking into account technologies, installation equipment and software products, the volume of import substitution amounted to 90%. During the construction process, the installation of the cable-stayed system was timed to develop new prices and enter them into federal reference books.
The materials used in the construction of the bridge crossing over the Oka River are Russian—made. 14.5% of the cost of materials are materials from local producers in the Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, including inert materials, concrete, asphalt, and precast concrete. Taking into account technologies, installation equipment and software products, the volume of import substitution amounted to 90%. Dampers, deflectors, cable anchorages, hardware and software systems, tension equipment are designed and manufactured in Of Russia.
The bridge crossing has unique spans. The bridge structure is a cable—stayed steel-reinforced concrete superstructure with two reinforced concrete pylons. Floodplain areas are designed with continuous steel-reinforced concrete superstructures. The technical solutions adopted made it possible to reduce the specific consumption of metal by a quarter compared to similar facilities, and the need for reinforced concrete by a third.
Technical characteristics of the bridge crossing:
- Length — 1377.6 m
- Riverbed — 650 m
- The layout of the spans — (75+120+254+120+74) m
- Floodplain area — 728 m
- The layout of the spans — (74+2×75+66+65)+(65+3×66+2×50) m
