Ptitsy Restaurant | Prospekt Architectural Bureau

The restaurant is located in the historical center of the city, in the residential complex "Aristocrat", located on two floors in the building of the Knyazev house. (formerly St. Lenin 71), inscribed in a residential complex. The masonry of the ground floor with low-set windows remains of the historic building. This distinguishes the restaurant from many others. Low windows create a "presence effect" — they interact with the street and this increases interest in the institution and makes its space more lively. There is also an arch left from the historical building, which was also inscribed into the interior. On the ground floor there is a hall for connoisseurs of open cuisine, as well as a small VIP room, and on the second floor there is a hall with 25 seats with non-linear zoning. The large, almost square hall is divided by a decorative glass-block wall, dividing the space into 3 small zones, while all tables remain illuminated by natural light, which makes the restaurant pleasant for both daytime and evening visits.

The menu consists of dishes from the author's cuisine, and the interior's emphasis was on the eventfulness, not on its decorativeness. The task was to make the interior a backdrop.

Each corner was designed in such a way that the visitor could linger on it and invent his own story around each detail.

In this interior, it is worth paying attention to the work of colors and textures. In each room, the concept of a contrasting combination of large spots and subtle shapes, details (lamps on the background of the wall, lamps on the background of the ceiling), contrast textures — the warmth of textiles and wood combined with the gloss of the floor and glass, a light neutral background of walls / ceiling / floor, born of warm ochre shades, supported by cool pearl-gray spots and bright graphite stains on textiles, window frames, and various details.

An iconic detail is the mirror on the stairs and the painted wall depicting birds. And above the stairs there is also a small cage with birds. One of the most popular photo locations in the city.
