Apartment in the Upper-Trade Residential complex Residense | Architectural Bureau Prospect
This is an apartment in one of the relatively new residential complexes in Ufa, in the historical and business center of the city. The complex itself was built for the SCO and BRICS summit in Ufa.
The apartment owners are a family of six people. Parents and four children. The eldest son lives separately from his parents. The family has lived in Germany for a long time, so the owners are very fond of simple, clean architecture in old buildings with a minimum number of objects. Living in Germany in certain types of housing has given several clear wishes for materials, for example, natural herringbone oak parquet. The ceiling height is kept as high as possible, and the main lighting is functional, not decorative.
The family of customers has a tradition of getting together and watching movies. We have created a huge common kitchen and living room space for socializing and watching movies together.
The apartment has white walls. However, this is an optical illusion, as the hue is actually far from "sterile" white. Our partners Topcoat Boutique and its head, Anna Borisovna Barzilova, helped us in choosing the color. The master bedroom has a wardrobe, shower, bathroom and hammam. The white simplicity of this space is emphasized by the difference in textures of the materials.
The texture of American walnut, richer than that of oak, actively contrasts with the white color, emphasizing it. That is why this wood was chosen for furniture. Two wooden accents — a cross in the kitchen-living room and a pedestal in the hallway area keep the space. The customer is very fond of historical objects. The cabinet is antique, the mirror to it was made in a carpentry workshop in Ufa. The cross is also custom-made.
The interior features art objects collected by the owners during trips and travels. The posters in the nursery were chosen by the children themselves — the youngest son is passionate about rap culture. And an art object made of threads and a painting is the result of the passion of the landlady of the apartment (she produces designer designer underwear). My husband ordered these original works from leftover threads from the production.
