Apartment for an individualist in Chekhov residential complex | Antrum Studio

Architectural and planning solution

The apartment underwent a renovation of the space: the kitchen was combined with the living room into a single space. The function of a dressing room with a separate entrance from the master bedroom and a passageway into the common space of the apartment has been added to the master bathroom. A new space was created for the hall, dressing room and guest bathroom.

The complexity of the master bathroom layout is related to its function and the features of the engineering systems. It combines a walk-in closet and a bathroom with a shower. You can get into it from the bedroom and, without disturbing the sleeping person, go out into the hallway. The integrity of the space is achieved due to the monochrome black color, which is found in all the elements of the bathroom. The complex washing area is combined by a glass structure with a double-sided mirror coating applied by vacuum spraying. The lower and upper parts of the mirror are transparent and create the illusion of a single space.

Compositional and stylistic unity

Clean lines, simple colors, natural materials, the concept of "rationalism", playing with light and accent art objects. The apartment project is designed for a modern business man, in whose life scenario the main thing is functionality and comfort. The concept of the project is based on the balance of function and aesthetics of space. In this project, the studio team started working at the stage of choosing a room. Privacy and privacy of personal space were of fundamental importance to the customer. An apartment with an area of 191.48 sq. m was chosen for the project. with access from the elevator to a separate floor.

The main hallway is the main artery of the space. We made it spacious but functional, and through it we get into a separate dressing room, which is as technologically advanced as an elevator, a bathroom, and a kitchen-living room. When designing the space, we used the elevator hall as an area for engineering systems, here we placed ventilation systems, ducted air conditioning, a central dust extraction system and a panel. This allowed us to unload the living space as much as possible and provided more freedom for the design of the space itself.

The bedroom organically continues the concept of the entire interior, but is intentionally softened relative to the rest of the areas.

The combination of wood and metal, designed in the same color scheme, combined the brutality and softness of different materials, preserving the integrity of the object. The interior combines elements of modern and contemporary styles, highlighted by a neutral monochrome palette. The deep brown, beige and white tones that formed the basis of the project served as a neutral backdrop for clear lines, textured materials and accent art objects. The customer values functionality, so the footage is organized as efficiently as possible, avoiding unnecessary details. Furniture and wood and natural stone finishes can be found in almost all areas.

The austere design is distinguished by a caramel-brown color scheme with graphic accents in the fixtures and decor.

Design quality

The compositional center of the living room was custom furniture created according to the author's sketches. A long modular sofa with grey upholstery and a contrasting coffee table formed a cozy TV area, and a caramel wool carpet gave the room a sense of intimacy.

In contrast to the white and beige design of the recreation area, the kitchen looks more dramatic. To maintain the desired style, cognac-colored wood and black stone with an active texture were used in the decoration. The visual boundary of the two functional zones was a laconic hood, designed by the studio team and installed above a freestanding island, designed according to an individual project.
