Russian integrated BIM system | Renga Software
Renga is a Russian integrated BIM system from Renga Software company
Renga Software, a joint venture between ASCON and 1C, develops software products for the design of buildings and structures in accordance with information modeling technology (TIM/BIM).
The Renga product is designed for integrated design: a three-dimensional information model of a construction object created in the Renga system can be used at all stages of the life cycle: from planning to subsequent control of construction and installation work. All documentation created in the program corresponds to that used in Russia's regulatory framework.
The Renga software product automates the process of creating a digital information model of a building or structure. It helps to solve the problem by preparing and adopting correct and coordinated technical solutions. This significantly reduces the number of collisions and errors during the design and construction of facilities. Renga implements a mode of joint and simultaneous work on a project. This eliminates conflict situations between specialists when making changes to the project.
The Russian Renga BIM system solves the problem of automated collection of specifications, which allows you to accurately calculate construction volumes and quantities of materials. All data from the 3D model object is collected automatically, and the report is generated in tabular form. When the model changes, the specifications are recalculated automatically.
Renga solves the following tasks:
- Development of an information model in accordance with the standards governing BIM in the Russian Federation.
- Quick preparation and adoption of the correct coordinated spatial planning, design and technical solutions for the project.
- Reducing the number of collisions and design errors during joint simultaneous work on a project.
- Eliminating data loss when interacting with other systems to solve highly specialized tasks (visualization, physico-technical calculations, engineering calculations, master plan development, etc.).
- Automation of the collection of ACS specifications, which allows accurate calculation of construction volumes and quantity of materials.
- Automation of obtaining project documentation performed in accordance with the used in Russia's regulatory framework.
- Quick changes to the project with the elimination of possible errors during adjustments.
The main users of Renga today are organizations engaged in construction and design activities (construction companies (developers), design organizations, architectural and design bureaus, civil projects, capital construction management, etc.). More than 700 organizations and enterprises have already evaluated the work in Renga. Among the main arguments in favor of Renga, it is worth noting such advantages as:
User-defined
- Ease of mastering and using the Renga system.
- The effectiveness of making technical decisions based on the BIM model.
- High speed of creating a 3D model and filling it with information.
- Availability of ready-made BIM catalogs by series and from manufacturers of equipment and materials.
- The ability to work with different levels of detail (LOD/LOI).
- Automated formation of specifications and design of drawings according to SPDS and ISO.
- Interaction using IFC4 format support to implement the openBIM approach in full compliance with buildingSMART standards.
- Supports triangulation and solid geometry formats (STL, OBJ, STEP, DAE,3DS, IGES, C3D, JT, VRML, LWO, CSV).
- Supports 2D formats: DWG/DXF and PDF.
- The possibility of collaboration, which allows you to place data on the model on the internal servers of companies, which leads to data security and minimizes the risks of leakage of confidential information on projects.
Political
- Russian development (reg. number 7 810 in the Unified Register of Russian Software)
- Absence of sanctions risks.
- Compliance with the recommendation to use domestic ACCORDING to (orders of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media No. 184, 186 and others).
- Kopania, a developer— is a member of TC 505 and the Expert council under the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, participates in the discussion of BIM standardization.
- Renga Software, together with the FAA of the Federal Tax Service and state expertise bodies, are working on innovations in national BIM standards on pilot projects.
Technological
- The system is being developed using the agile methodology, which allows programmers to move in short iterations and release new Renga releases every 1.5 months. This allows users to get the requested features in Renga in the shortest possible time to solve the problems of designing buildings and structures.
- Compact *.rnp file format (tens of megabytes for a complex apartment building project).
- Effective use of modern computer technologies (multithreading and multi-core, video card resources, VR glasses).
- Direct integration with 1C solutions, BIM WIZARD, ABC-4, CAD-Alpha, Smart Water, Lira, Artisan Rendering, Aristos 3D. Interaction through the IFC4 format allows you to build an ecosystem around the Renga BIM system, thereby completing the tasks of all stages of the ACS lifecycle (BIM 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D).
- An open and free API for integrating and creating Renga applications to solve highly specialized tasks.
- Support for the LUA scripting language inside Renga to create new types of parametric hardware.
- Renga is developed on its own geometric core C3D.
Economic
- Permanent and temporary licensing schemes.
- Low cost of licenses without reference to exchange rates.
- Affordable cost of staff training.
- Optimal equipment upgrade costs.
- Minimal effort in creating and administering project templates, reference books, and catalogs.
- Low cost of ownership The software ensures competitiveness when participating in design competitions.
Social
- Engaging young professionals through access to new technologies
- Retention of existing specialists in the staff through easier mastering of BIM.
- Development based on the wishes of Russian users.
- Direct support from the developer.
- Communities of users on social networks.
- Jobs in Of Russia.
The positive effect of using Renga in work has already been appreciated by users. When performing work on the formation of CIM at the facility "Sports hall in S. Cross-Khaljai of the Tomponsky district of the RS (Yakutia)", many critical design errors were identified, which consist in inconsistencies and contradictions of adjacent sections. This entailed financial costs during construction and installation work in the amount of 8,644,126 rubles, and taking into account logistics and labor costs, this amount could increase to 15-20% of the total estimated cost of construction. In total, these inconsistencies can delay the construction process by more than 179.7 days if consistently eliminated. In total, 77 points were identified for collisions that require corrections. Thus, the main efficiency factors include:
- reducing the number of design errors by 40%;
- The design process is accelerated by 30%;
- The time required to prepare working documentation is reduced by 70%;
- the project approval time is reduced by 90%.
The Renga software product is created with the most intuitive interface. The basic program of study in the program is only 16 academic hours. It is possible to complete the "My first project" task, which will take only a few hours. You can also download and install a fully functional trial version of Renga for commercial projects for 60 days for free.
As user experience shows, Renga is easy to learn. The implementation process itself depends on many factors. The implementation of the pilot project is a good help in mastering the software product and in setting deadlines for the implementation of the Renga BIM system. The average implementation period for project organizations is several months.
