Apartment of IT specialists | You+Design

An apartment in the center of Yekaterinburg for a family of young IT specialists and their cats. The total area is 92 m2. A small renovation was done in the apartment, which made it possible to accommodate the maximum number of storage spaces and, at the same time, preserve the living space of the correct geometry. Customers needed a free rectangular space for playing with augmented reality glasses, so a rectangular hall appeared in the center of the apartment. The light enters the hall through the glass partition of the office. The apartment has a lot of complex dark shades that make the space deeper and more comfortable. Along the long wall of the kitchen-living room, a beam protruded from the ceiling, which served as the starting point for the design of this room. We "lowered" the color of the ceiling onto the walls, which allowed us to maintain lightness with sufficiently dark walls. The layout of the kitchen furniture also works to create a feeling of lightness – the upper cabinets are detached from the walls and ceiling, the upper cabinets are illuminated, and the apron is made of tinted glass. The guys work from home, so it was necessary to design the most functional workplace for everyone. Immediately, a small sofa for relaxing and a place for two cats to play were placed in the office.
