The multifunctional complex BOTANICA as a part of TPU "Botanical Garden" | ABD LLC

The multifunctional complex within the TPU "Botanic Garden" is an advanced ambitious development project of PIONEER, which combines a shopping and entertainment center, office space and the YES BOTANICA apartment hotel. The concept laid down by Nikken Sekkei bureau was further developed in the work of ABD architects. As the general designer, the ABD Architects team worked deeply on the initial ideas, forming a new planning structure of the territory at the intersection of the metro line and the MCC, linking traffic flows with urban development.

 The total area of the multifunctional complex exceeds 141 000 m2, which makes it one of the largest facilities of this format in Moscow. The tall buildings of the apart-hotel and business center have become a striking visual accent of the entire ensemble. The overall silhouette is balanced by the lower volume of the shopping gallery. This distribution helps to maintain a commensurate and understandable scale of space and organically fit the project into the urban context. The active public area of the lower floors with cafes, shops and entrance groups makes the complex a part of the street life of the districts.

 The Botanic Garden transport hub connects the Botanic Garden metro station and the MCC station of the same name. Now this complex facility in the North-Eastern District of Moscow includes not only transport, but also commercial, office and residential functions. This approach fully meets the high requirements of transit-oriented development (TOD), which is so in demand in modern megacities.

 IFC BOTANICA consists of several architectural volumes and includes a shopping and entertainment center combined with the building of the BOTANICA business center and the building of the YES BOTANICA apartment hotel, between which a city event square is organized. Above it is a light-dynamic canopy connecting the buildings of the shopping and office center and the apartment hotel.
