Multifunctional residential complex "Navigator" | ARCHINFORM Architectural Bureau

The multifunctional residential complex Navigator is located in the very heart of Yekaterinburg. The design site is located in the embankment area of the central city pond and has exceptional urban planning and architectural value for the city.

The building visually closes the main pedestrian zone of Yekaterinburg, Vayner Street. Therefore, an important element of the complex is a large public square, which opens a pedestrian approach to the actively developing new business center of the city, the Yekaterinburg City district, and to the embankment area of the central city pond.

Our goal was not just to design a modern premium residential complex, but, above all, to solve an important urban development node in the pedestrian center. The complex spatial solution allows you to create a dynamic perception of the high-rise complex from different viewing points, and with each change of angle it reveals a new expressive silhouette.

The high-rise dominant has many specific "openings" around the perimeter: it is a view of the central city embankment, the main square, and Yekaterinburg City. The entire building is surrounded by many outdoor terraces and balconies, creating unique opportunities for residents to enjoy the scenery of the center of Yekaterinburg.

The complex consists of two volumes: a 100-meter high tower and a 13-storey block, on the roof of which a summer outdoor area is organized for residents of the complex. The volume of the tower resembles a large white sail, which bends due to several cascades of terraces, as if twisted around a central core. This solution is achieved by dynamically shifting the height of the summer rooms: thus, there are no duplicate floors in the building.

Commercial premises, offices, cafes and restaurants are located on the first and second floors of the complex, premium apartments from 3 to 24, exclusive penthouses with large outdoor terraces on 26-27.
