Smart Roof | TECHNONICOL

Smart Roof is a comprehensive IoT ecosystem for intelligent monitoring and management of the roof condition. The project was developed in response to growing climate risks: increased snow loads and the frequency of leaks, leading to structural collapses and multimillion-dollar losses.

The technology has been successfully implemented at facilities in Moscow, Krasnodar, Ufa, Omsk, Kazan, Sakhalin and many others, ensuring the safety of people and the safety of property.

The project includes three systems.

The snow load monitoring system provides round-the-clock monitoring of snow in critical areas of the roof with an accuracy of up to a kilogram and automatic sending of SMS/email alerts when approaching the limit values. Unlike existing solutions that record only the thickness of the snow cover, the system measures the actual load in kg/m2 in places where snow bags form, and also tracks deformations of load-bearing structures.

An online leak monitoring system based on a separation-signal web segments the roof onto maps and records the location and time of moisture appearance under the waterproofing in real time, allowing damage to be repaired at an early stage. The humidity monitoring solution for existing roofs allows you to analyze the dynamics of changes in temperature and humidity indicators, as well as diagnose the condition of the insulation by changing the chemical composition of the air based on AI.

A range of roofing components with integrated heating made of PVC and butyl rubber, which prevent the formation of icicles and ice.

All modules are integrated into a single cloud-based personal account smart.roof.ru with interactive roof plans, history of readings, customizable notifications, and QR access for maintenance personnel. The system adapts to any roof geometry and is compatible with membrane and bitumen polymer coatings.
