Development and ecosystem of BIM plug-ins for design automation in Revit | Architectural Design Bureau Arkitect bai Unistroy LLC

The project is a comprehensive BIM design automation system based on Autodesk Revit, which includes its own plug-ins, a script library, and an intelligent chat assistant (Timka).

The developed plugin combines typical automation scenarios for architectural and engineering sections: automatic placement of rooms, numbering, creating views, automatic placement of sockets, fixtures and equipment. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the proportion of manual operations, reduce errors, and ensure uniform design standards. As a result of the implementation, individual tasks were accelerated up to 5-6 times and up to 6 hours were saved on a typical section, as well as up to 50+ hours on a project of 100 apartments.

The key element of the project is Timka, an intelligent chat assistant for working with a BIM model. It implements a dialog interface that allows not only to execute commands and automate actions in the model, but also to answer user questions on corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and help with Revit. This approach increases the availability of knowledge within the company, reduces dependence on experts, and accelerates employee training.

Such solutions reflect current trends in the development of BIM, where AI is used to automate routine tasks and improve design accuracy and efficiency.

The system is built modularly: scripts are expanded through a library of scripts and a marketplace of tools, which ensures scalability and rapid implementation of new solutions. The project forms a single digital design contour, increasing the speed of documentation release, the quality of models, and the manageability of processes.
